Like many Graduates, I left university not only with a degree, but also with the
ambition to join a top company. I stumbled across Pell Frischmann, speculatively sent
my CV, was asked to attend an interview, and before I knew it, I was offered a job.
My first impressions of the company indicated a young and dynamic environment,
making it a very attractive place to work, and now, a decade later, I'm still here.
Soon after joining Pell Frischmann, I was promoted to Associate, and I now manage
an ambitious team of infrastructure engineers. At the time I felt like I had been thrown
in at the deep end, but through the encouragement of my Director and the experience
and skills I have developed, have no doubt helped me to progress as an engineer, as
well as a team manager.
Although I’m based in the Milton Keynes office, I have been involved in projects across the country; in particular, I'm Team Leader for the Defence Training Academy in South Wales, the largest UK commission that Pell Frischmann has undertaken. This project aims to rationalise 30 Ministry of Defence sites down to 10 fully-modern state-of-the-art sites, at RAF St Athan in the Vale of Glamorgan. This sometimes means I have to work from the Cardiff office, which does come with its down side with the commute from MK. While I don’t mind hopping over the Welsh border, it's nice to get home at the end of a busy week and put my feet up.
