Project Details

A 3.8km duel carriageway road running between Lindale Bypass and Barrow Banks. The inclusion of 3 new underpasses will remove 90% of traffic, resulting in fewer accidents in the area. The scheme is entirely within the Lake District National Park and is considered as environmentally sensitive. The scheme achieved an ‘Excellent’ CEEQUAL rating and in 2009 it went on to win ICE, North West Awards, Merit Award.
