Project Details
The first phase new Terminal building will handle 37M passengers a year. It has a built-up area of 450,000m2, with 160 check-in counters, 74 aerobridges, 30 parking bays, 72 immigration counters, 15 X-ray screening areas, and 25,000m2 of duty-free retail areas.
The new terminal is connected to Delhi by an 8-lane highway and a dedicated express link on the Delhi Mass Transit system. It was commended in 2009 for 'Major Consultancy Project of the Year' by British Expertise.
