Following on from their plans to overhaul Victoria, Land Securities has filed a planning application to redevelop Selbourne House. Land Securities proposals have been drawn up by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects that see the existing building demolished and replaced with a new commercial development, 13 storeys high providing 38,000sqm of grade A office space. read more

In 1995 Pell Frischmann we were commissioned by Network Rail (formerly Railtrack) with regard the structural integrity of the Forth Bridge. The Forth Bridge is a Category A Listed structure and an iconic bridge that draws many tourists. As such it was imperative that any required works identified should be the minimum possible with regard visual impact. We inspected structural members, using rope access rather than scaffold, to verify member dimension, section sizes and condition. This information was then used to model the structure and determine member forces. read more

The original suspension bridge, which was completed in 1966, was upgraded to carry a train track through the truss deck and expand the carriageway from five lanes to six lanes. The bridge is a suspension bridge with steel truss deck and steel towers. Cables are constructed from steel wire with concrete gravity anchors. read more
