The health, safety and wellbeing of our colleagues and clients, as well as the communities within which we work, is paramount to us. Consequently, we have temporarily closed our offices until it is confirmed by the government that it is safe to re-open.
Double shortlisting for Stirling Prize
Pell Frischmann is delighted that two of its most remarkable recent projects have been shortlisted for the 2016 Stirling Prize.
Blavatnik School of Government and Weston Library have both been shortlisted, meaning two of the six nominated buildings are Pell Frischmann projects.
Blavatnik School of Government is the remarkable newly built Herzog & de Meuron building that opened early for students at the University of Oxford. It provides lecture, teaching, debate, and other learning space in a unique structure that stretched technology to new levels during development.
Weston Library is a 1930s building that, having replaced earlier buildings dating back to the 1600s, had seen insensitive renovations in past decades diminish its aesthetic. The Wilkinson Eyre revival opened up innovative new space for public access while restoring the beauty of the original building.
We look forward to the announcement of the winner on Thursday 6 October.
